The Path to Free Goods & Services

Stage: Frontier

How free access becomes real — by driving the true cost of production low enough to sustain it.

Free goods and services do not appear by pretending costs do not exist. They become possible when the real cost of production, distribution, maintenance, repair, administration, replacement, and recovery falls far enough that free access can be provided without charging people at the point of need. That is the purpose of automation in the Free Safe Healthy plan. It is not magic. It is a cost-reduction pathway based on productivity, coordination, maintenance, repair, reuse, public-benefit production, and reduced waste.

Automation lowers cost by reducing waste. Automation lowers cost by reducing downtime. Automation lowers cost by reducing duplication. Automation lowers cost by reducing emergency failures. Automation lowers cost by extending product life. Automation lowers cost by recovering materials. Automation lowers cost by coordinating supply with real demand. Automation lowers cost by improving quality. Automation lowers cost by reducing administrative friction. Automation lowers cost by making public-benefit production visible, measurable, auditable, and accountable. The goal is free reliable access to goods and services across all sectors of the global economy. As productive capacity rises and real cost falls, more goods and services can move toward free availability.
